FAQ

What is the Full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the emission spectra?
28 - 32 nm for each color.

At what concentration are the carboxyl and avidin-conjugated MultiPlxBeadsTM shipped?
1 mg/ml.

What is the quantum efficiency of each bead?
Approximately 50%.

Does the fluorescence signal self-quench if too many MultiPlxBeads conjugate to a protein/antibody?
No.

How does one decide between two- and four-color MultiPlxBeads?
The decision may depend on the type of instrumentation. If using the entire set of two-color beads, instrumentation that is sensitive to different intensity levels will be necessary.

How many avidin molecules are there on each bead?
Approximately 50 million.
